About the event
A 3-part course designed to prepare families for optimal postpartum healing and care. Postpartum isn't just the first 40 days after baby is born, it is for life. This course will teach you the essential principles for postpartum support that will pave the way for lifelong thriving in motherhood. Maternal health is not only relative to mothers themselves but also to children and families, as children's health is contingent upon their mother's health. If we want to assure the health of the future generations, we need to begin by focusing on the health and well being of the mothers. The CDC reports that 20% of women experience postpartum depression - that's a LOT - however, this number depends solely on self reporting and live births. Therefore, we can assume the number is much greater. We MUST do better for our mothers. This course will show you not only how to prepare your own body & mind for postpartum but will spill over into caring better for the women around you and the women to come after you. Its time to make a change, I can't wait to show you how.
Dates for this course:
1 postpartum group gathering around 6 weeks after the last mother has birthed, TBD.
1 individual 30 minute call, optional, scheduled separately.
